The Man Behind the Mic
Neil Amondson grew up in Kosmos, WA—a now-submerged timber village near Mt. Rainier. From logging camps to legislative chambers, his life has spanned high-climbing, cow-milking, legislating, and working in 49 states and 7 countries. He served in the Washington Legislature (1987–1994) representing the PNW’s largest natural resource district. Neil now lives in Central Oregon and snowbirds at Outdoor Resort Palm Springs. His podcast explores turning points, cultural change, and resilience—bridging generations from the Rolodex era to the age of AI.
Podcast Vision
Up a Creek with Neil is a space for authentic conversations on life’s turning points—grief, caregiving, cultural change, personal growth, and community resilience.
It’s a show that bridges generations — From handshakes and Rolodexes to Zoom calls and podcasts, the way we connect may have changed — but real life stories still matter.
